About Grant
The University of Victoria provides scholarships for students who are about to start a PhD in order to encourage postgraduate research . These are offered scholarships based on academic merit to students from New Zealand and foreign students in any discipline .
The goal of the grant
These grants are designed to encourage and support the study Ph.D. in Jamahvictoraa . As part of the requirements of the grant, recipients are expected to participate at 150 hours per year in the academic life of the University , which enrolled for the study . The aim of this review is to provide students with an insight into the work being done by the academic community at the university and expectations based on them . And this review is also giving them a chance to develop lasting relationships with the University. This review may be either a guide , or research assistant , or assistant teacher , or supervisor of the laboratory.
Selection criteria
The area to apply for this scholarship is open to graduates of any university within or outside New Zealand and who intend to enroll full-time to get a doctorate from the University of Victoria , or who have already started their PhD studies at this university .

Duration of the grant
These scholarships are usually for a period of three years, and will reduce the maximum length of a scholarship, at the discretion of the Committee on Research Scholarship, for a student who has passed on joining PHD at the University of Victoria more than three months from the time of the presentation of a scholarship .

Jury
Selection will be by a committee research scholarships to the University, which is a sub - committee of the Council of University Research .
How and when the decision announcement
Offers will be made available scholarships for Ph.D. of the University of Victoria approximately six weeks after each expiration date for submission in March , July and November of the year of submission of applications . Admission requirements for the grant

It is possible to give approval to the grant recipients to join a paid job (usually work as a guide ) for up to 400 hours , in addition to their obligations during one academic year . Applicants must , other than those who have completed all their studies at the University of Victoria, to include with their application a certified copy of their academic record from other institutes . Applicants will be considered who have received their degrees from any university other than New Zealand universities into two categories :
Category I: Applicants must from the United Kingdom , Ireland, USA , Canada, Germany or Australia to provide an original or certified copy of university records .
Category II: Applicants must than any other country to get their records audited and evaluated ( evaluation of each separately ) by residents educators : educators residents accredited
